CONNECTICUT PISTOL PERMIT PROCESS
Connecticut residents should contact their local police for an application. Along with the application they will give you a list of requirements, such as birth certificate, certificate of training, etc. The list varies from town to town. Some may ask for letters of recommendation, or passport photos.

Once all of the items on the list are collected an appointment is made to be fingerprinted. After the application is formally submitted police will conclude their investigation within 60 days and issue or deny a permit. The town permit is only valid for 60 days. It is used to apply for a state permit. In western Connecticut state pistol permits are issued by the state police at Troop G in Bridgeport.

Complete details can be found on the link below. Non residents need to contact the Department of Public Safety directly.
